Developed from the original Western Electric 212E, it has added modern engineering enhancement for a superb triode sonic ecstasy.
- Filament design has been improved from top spring fastened to an overhung hooked design. It not only greatly improves sound quality, but also improved reliability for shipping and handling for this EXTRA LARGE tube.
- Venting holes are added to the specialty metal plate to not only efficiently dissipate heat, but also reduce swirling electrons inside the tube – which will improve sonic resolution and details, and avoid ‘muddy sound’ as in previously released versions.
- The 4-post reinforcement structure for the filament and plates help with reliability and improve upon previous ‘mica plate style’ for a more lively sonic signature.
- Additional Linlai™ proprietary plate coating allows this latest version of metal plate E-212 to sustain plate heat dissipation up to a HUGE 200 watts, without any sign of red plating over a continuous 120-hr burn-in test at factory lab.
